The Thirsty Leopard

14" stained glass mosaic plate..."The Leopard"  This piece was a spontaneous affair starting off with a fish border leading up to what I thought would be a Koi Pond...but, something inside of me saw a face peering through the foliage...and after examining animal faces I opted for a jaquar...

Cowboys Place

A Gentleman has asked me to produce several cowboy plates for him. This is the first: "Cowboys Place."
The next four will be the names of cowboys such as Hopalong Cassidy...

Snow is falling once again here in Western North Carolina in this "Winter of Our Discontent", one of my favorite novels by John Steinbeck.  I always thought you can identify a person by asking.... Hemingway?...or Steinbeck?  It is amazing in knowing a type in those who favor one over the other...neither one an oddity, but it surely defines a person.  I have to say I am a Steinbeck kind of guy.  I relate to his prose, stories, situations, reactions...and actions over Hemingway's.  It has been a while since I have read a novel or any book.  I wonder why?

I am doing a free style mosaic on this winter day. Not sure of the outcome but, the spontaneous colors and design are pulling their weight.  Oh yeah, that is Dora Lee...a mischievous beagle.

A Fish in Winter

14 x 16" stained glass mosaic tropical fish...please remember when you go scuba diving and snorkeling to never touch or stand on coral formations as these fragile eco systems will collapse and turn to white leaving behind a poisonous ocean...

Passion

10" stained glass mosaic plate...this has given me an awesome idea for my next mosaic window design...There has been snow on the ground since December 18th in this "winter of our discontent" ...The cold weather hinders production as I usually work outdoors due to the fumes and grout dust...45 degrees or higher and a well ventilated space is needed for this art form.

Stuck in the snow

It snowed about 12 inches on January 29th...thought it was a good time to create something warm. I sure do miss the Caribbean.

A Victorian romantic window

The Days Of Heaven lingered in her heart. She took to the road toward the lake and pondered what might lay ahead in this strange and exotic land. Yet, never had she felt this comfort; the air, the golden field, the tree of four seasons and the four lockets that hold the path to the key. The creatures continued to follow her and she felt their guidance...36 X 24" stained glass mosaic window "Katshill Cottage" by Victor Nunnally 2009
