Thank you Miss P for organizing a fundraiser for helping artists find affordable housing in San Francisco. Thank you JD for hosting the event.  A very nice evening and it gave me a chance to do a mini Art Show. I now have a commission for a rather interesting Lantern.  Let's see what I come up with. It seems that one way Artists could live and thrive in San Francsico is that they can be caretakers for elderly in their homes in exchange for room and board, with back ground checks of course.  A company could be created with this idea.  The company does all the placement, paperwork, background checks,  and communications.  Of course the downside is that the Artist may not get along with the individual they have to do errands, chores, and company...could get messy.  So, do a first month check up then 3 month check ups and make sure everybody is happy. My other idea is that a lot of houses have back yards that could serve as a temporary residence with adequate structures.  With a gym membership you can shower and stay in shape while camping in a secure location  and producing at your studio.  Some artist just need to have a place to lay their head. Background checks of course and the artist has to have a work place.  Then, there is always the way of producing something spectacular and sell it, buy a house and live on your own and produce something spectacular again.
