Red Cardinals- Part Two

A customer requested a Cardinal window similar to the one created last spring. Nothing is adhered due to the freezing weather so this 19 x 32" mosaic window will shape up a bit more by this weekend when the temps go up...as I work outdoors.

How about an original this Christmas?

Nunnally Mosaics will be on display at Biltmore Coffee Traders,518 Hendersonville Road, Asheville, NC • (828) 277-9227 Saturday, November 20, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. I was able to produce these plates for this weeks art display. My inventory is low right now as several commissions and new distributors have occupied my time. There are several ideas brewing in my head right now...to see their productions would be very rewarding as an independent artist. The months ahead are filled with commissions and transformations. Thank you for visiting.

Heading west...back in time....

Another commissioned window for Jim... already started a new one for this modern day cowboy...The November blah damp weather has set in causing a delay in creating mosaics as moisture and adhesion do not go well togther...but perserverence shall play a strong role as I need to complete it by next Tuesday. The stars and planets are lining up for change for this artist and I am so ready for something new...One day I hope to write the experience of relocating as an artist from the Liberal Streets of San Francisco to the Bible thumping Christian Conservative Western NC...at the start of a recession.

Part One-

Nunnally Mosaics was commissioned to create two windows with a central hummingbird scene surrounded by frosted glass...Here is the first. The customer did not want strong colors but asked for pastels... and yet, the strength of the colors hold their weight...

Mosaics in The Mountains

The first week of October has provided the most beautiful weather of the year here in WNC so...off to the Blue Ridge Parkway! The colors have just begun to form for the fall season but the trees will soon blossom into a kaleidoscope of delicious spectacle. I still had mosaics packed in the truck from the Daniel Stowe show so Utilizing The Parkway's scenic views was a must!

Autumnfaire-Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens

Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens is located in Belmont N.C., fifteen minutes outside Charlotte...off I-85 exit 20, New Hope Road. There were about thirty wonderful artist and craft vendors participating in Autumnfaire. The Gardens are bordered by waterways, fountains, sculpted fish, horse and carriage rides and an aviary. The stained glass dome upon entry is beyond wondrous! A Non pretentious place with a terrific staff and clientele. A wonderful experience! Thank you for letting Nunnally Mosaics participate...
